I stopped saying “no” to messy play and gave it a home instead. 🎨
This empty corner next to our mud kitchen had been bugging me for months, so I turned it into a paint station the kids actually use every single day.
Acrylic sheet + a few standoff screws, a scrap piece of black steel fencing as an instant pegboard, hanging flower pots for the brushes, and an adhesive shelf that fits the paints perfectly. That’s it.
No more paint on the actual fence, no more “can I paint, mom” fifteen times a day; just a corner that says yes.
The pieces in my linked collection
The collection attached to this exact reel includes an OPTIX clear acrylic sheet from Lowe’s, black steel sign standoff screws, a Nieifi adhesive wall shelf, hanging metal flower pots, U.S. Art Supply no-spill paint cups and Horizon Group USA paint brushes. The acrylic listing is 0.22 inches thick, 30 inches wide and 36 inches long; that describes the purchased sheet, not proof of its final installed dimensions.
What was reused and what was optional
The reel describes a scrap piece of black steel fencing used for hanging storage. My collection also links a Vigoro Rockdale fence panel, but a shopping suggestion does not prove it is the exact scrap panel shown. The collection includes extra art supplies and tools, so buying every item is not necessary to understand the core setup.
